Leaf canisters are specially designed for use with in-ground suction pool cleaners. They effectively capture leaves and debris before they reach your pool's filtration system--helping to extend equipment life and reduce maintenance costs. Directions for Use Turn off your pool's pump before beginning installation. Attach a female-to-female pool cleaner hose to the bottom of the canister, then connect the other end to the skimmer or suction fitting. Submerge the canister completely to release any trapped air. Connect a male-to-female pool cleaner hose to the canister's lid, then attach the other end to your automatic pool cleaner. Turn the pump back on and begin vacuuming the pool as usual. Recommended: For best performance, install the canister between the first and second hose sections from the pool wall.
